Why I Started
Made From Memory was born from love—and from loss.
In September 2025, I lost my father. He wasn’t just my dad; he was my best friend. As I searched for ways to honor him, I began turning old photos into short video clips; breathing new life into old moments, even if just for a few seconds. When I shared it with my sisters, we cried together… but we also smiled, laughed, and remembered him.
Around the same time, I was spending hours with my wife’s grandfather, now in his mid-90s, listening to stories from a life most of us only read about. I realized how fragile memories are, and how easily they can fade if we don’t preserve them.
I’ve worked in film production for years, but this was different. This wasn’t about creating content. It was about protecting the legacies of our loved ones.
Made From Memory exists to help families celebrate, honor, and memorialize the people who matter most—so their stories don’t disappear, and their presence can still be felt. These films aren’t just videos. They’re keepsakes. They’re conversations across generations. They’re a way to say “You mattered. You’re remembered. You’re loved.”

How it Works
- Once you place your order you’ll receive an email with a personalized upload link and a short intake form link. When those are uploaded and completed, the turn around time starts.
- When uploading, you can scan and even use your phone to take pictures of old photos is perfectly fine, as long as they’re not blurry and we can see the subjects well. The older the pictures, the better is what we like to tell everyone.
- We thoughtfully craft and curate your tribute video, then send you a private viewing link. Light revision rounds are included to make sure it feels just right. Once finalized, you’ll receive a downloadable video to keep and share with family.
- Turnaround Time:
Most videos are delivered within 5-10 business days after all materials are received.

What exactly is a Made From Memory video, and what will I receive?
A Made From Memory video is a custom, artistic tribute created from the photos and memories you share. Using creative animation tools and human curation, still images are transformed into a meaningful visual experience designed to honor your loved one. You will receive a finished digital video that can be viewed, downloaded, and shared privately with family and friends.
Do you really offer a full satisfaction guarantee?
Absolutely. We’re proud of the work we do and stand by it. We want every customer to be completely happy with their video. We’ll work with you to make it right, and if you’re not satisfied with what we make in the end, we’ll refund you immediately.
How are photos “brought to life,” and what should I expect from the animations?
We use specialized software to animate still photographs by introducing movement, expressions, and emotional cues. These moments are artistic interpretations, not recordings or reconstructions of real events. The goal is to create a sense of connection and remembrance, rather than to depict literal or historical moments.
Are the movements, expressions, or emotions shown exact recreations of real life?
No. The animations may include expressions, movements, or emotional moments that did not occur in real life. They are creative representations meant to honor the memory and spirit of your loved one. Because this is an artistic tribute, some variation in realism or expression is natural and expected.
Who creates the video, and how much of the process is automated?
Every Made From Memory video is carefully curated, edited, and finalized by a human creator. Technology assists with animation and enhancement, but all creative decisions — including pacing, tone, and emotional flow — are guided by human judgment and care.
What materials can I submit, and how are they used?
You may submit photos and personal materials that help tell your loved one’s story. Older or low-quality photos are completely acceptable. Not every submitted item will necessarily appear in the final video, as selections are made to create the most cohesive and meaningful tribute.
Can I request specific music?
Yes. You may request a specific song or music style during the intake process. Music requests help set the overall feel of the video, and we do our best to honor them whenever possible. Final music selection may be adjusted to ensure the video flows smoothly and respectfully as a complete piece.
What is the creation timeline, and what happens after I submit my materials?
Once your materials are submitted, the creation process begins. The average turnaround time is 5–10 business days, depending on the project and creative needs. If you require faster delivery, you may email info@madefrommemory.com to inquire about expedited options. Expedited requests are subject to availability and may include an additional fee.
